Funeral Florals

On Friday, April 10, 2026, Keith and I drove to Syracuse to pick-up our funeral florals from Eva's funeral.  We had some beautiful arrangements made by Tiffany from Suspended in Time.  We have been ordering from Tiffany since 2002.  They did not disappoint.

Afterwards, we drove past my old childhood home in Clearfield.  I was sad to see how the neighborhood had declined-so run down.  The folks that bought my house tore out the steps leading up to the house.  The two large Sycamore Trees that I used to love to climb had been taken out.  The neighborhood looked so run down.  It used to be so nice.

Lunch with Michele Standage and Westfield High School Prom Photos

On Saturday, I met Michele Standage in Brigham City at the Old Grist Mill.  We enjoyed a wonderful lunch and we enjoyed catching up on each other's lives.  We stayed for almost two hours, then decided we had better head home.  I can't believe Michele has a daughter at BYUi.  Shelby took her first steps at our house around our ottoman.  So fun!  I reached out to Michele last week after seeing Shelby singing in the BYUi choir at Conference.

Later that afternoon, Chersti and James, along with Xander, his date, and 6 other friends came to take Prom pictures in our yard.  Such a cute group of kids.  We had fun listening to them and seeing them interact with each other.  I am so grateful that the weather cleared up for them - it snowed/rained most of the afternoon, but around 4:00, the sun started shining and it cleared up.  I hope they had a blast at the Prom.  As a thank you for using our yard, Chersti brought me beautiful flowers.

Free Frosty and Free Fries!!!

On Tuesday, April 7, 2026, we stopped at Wendy's in North Ogden for a free frosty and fries.  Wendy's was giving them away as a celebration of the NCAA Basketball Championships.  I sent the information to friends, family, and put it on Facebook.  I had several people reach out and say thank you for the great dinner idea!!!  I was tickled when Alexa and Xander sent me a picture of them with their Wendy's.

Easter 2026

On Friday Night, Chase, Calder, Maycie, and Mikela came up to visit.  I took a picture of Calder and Maycie by the waterfall.  Rebel had to be in the picture!  I spent all day Saturday preparing food for our meal on Sunday.  It was yummy.  We had ham, cheesy potatoes, orange jello fluff, rolls, deviled eggs and cake.

Jamie sent pictures of their Easter as well.  Keith and I enjoyed watching conference.  It was a nice, low-key day.

April Fool's Joke - Snow!!!

I took a picture of my beautiful purple and white tulips coming up a few days ago.  On April 2, 2026, around 11:00 a.m., we got a snowstorm that didn't last too long, but it snowed on my tulips.  I hope they are going to survive and not freeze.

Easter At the Cemetery

I was so blown away when I went to the cemetery a few weeks ago and found that Skyler's and Mom's flowers were gone.  They were fairly new and in good shape.  I couldn't imagine the cemetery workers throwing them out.  I had them in the vases really tight, so the wind didn't blow them out.  They were physically removed.

After contacting the cemetery, I was told that it must have been thieves.  I bought new flowers yesterday and Keith and I went to the cemetery to decorate.  It looked beautiful.

He Lives - An Easter Open House

On Thursday, March 26, 2026, we attended the Stake's Easter Open House.  A Celebration of the life, sacrifice and resurrection of Jesus Christ through imagery, scripture and testimony.  This Easter the Pleasant View South Stake invited all to experience the life and eternal mission of Jesus Christ through a peaceful, guided open house.  Walk through rooms dedicated to key moments of His life-from His Birth to His resurrection and beyond.

Room 1 -  The Birth of Christ

Explore the eternal nature of Christ's mission - foreordained before the world was created, foretold by prophets for centuries, and fulfilled in the humble manger of Bethlehem.

Room 2 - His Earthly Ministry

Walk through the life of Jesus - His baptism, His teachings on the mount, His miracles of compassion and the Church He established to continue His work.

Room 3 - Gethsemane and the Atonement

Sit in the quiet reflection as the children's voices fill the room.  Pass by the La Pieta statue and ponder on the depth of His sacrifice.   This sacred space invites you to feel the depth of Christ's infinite sacrifice - made willingly, made personally, made for you.

Room 4 - The Resurrection

Stand before an empty tomb and let the hope of Easter wash over you.  Death is not the end.  Sunday always comes.  Because he lives, all will rise again.

Room 5 - His Influence Today

Discover how Jesus Christ continues His ministry through living prophets, scripture and the lives of those who follow Him.  Browse the displays, read the words of modern apostles and see Christ's influence in the Book of Mormon.

This was a sacred experience.
