Fall Break with Kamryn Visiting

On Friday, October 18, 2024, Kamryn drove from St. George to visit us.  She arrived around 7:15 p.m.  We heated up some German pasta for her with a yummy sauce and she had rolls and salad.  We visited for a while.  We were so happy to see her.  She brought me an Utah Tech Bear for my collection.

On Saturday, Kamryn slept in.  Keith and I got up and got ready for the day.  We delivered apples to several friends in the ward.  Most people were happy to have the apples.  Then we came home and had a little lunch.  Kamryn and I went to Fitz and got frozen hot chocolate and frozen butter beer.  Then we took her car to Jiffy Lube to get her oil changed, and her tires balanced and rotated.  Then we filled her car up with gas and came back home.

We got Keith and we went to Sam's Club.  We stocked up on groceries.  When we pulled into the parking lot, Kamryn freaked out over this jeep in the parking lot.  She ran and took a picture of it.  It looked like it had cat eyes.

Kamryn got Slim Jim Jerkeys and Munchies chips.  We also loaded her up with canned goods and jelly.

We stopped at Cane's and got dinner to bring home.  Kamryn was so happy.  Cane's is her favorite and there is not a Cane's in St. George.

We unloaded the groceries and then Kamryn and Keith went to relax.  I put everything away and cleaned up.  Then we fixed some snacks and watched a movie.  We started the DiVinchi Code on Friday night, but we were too tired to watch it, so we started it over and watched the whole movie.

Sunday we slept in a little and then got ready for the day.  Kamryn and I made candy apple jelly.  The pot boiled over and jelly went all over the stovetop.  What a mess!  It took quite a while to clean it up.  We finished boiling the jelly and put it in the jars.  Then I put them in a hot bath for 15 minutes after I cleaned up the stove, floor, and cabinets.  I felt like everything was so sticky.  But it didn't hurt our jelly.  It turned out great!

We cleaned up and watched a Christmas movie.  Then we went to see Grandma Great at the care center.

We came home and I made spaghetti, garlic bread and salad for dinner.  We ate dinner and I cleaned up and then we went downstairs and watched a few movies.  

Monday morning Kamryn got up early and we sent her off with lots of food and goodies.  We sure enjoyed our visit with her.  She is a sweetheart.
